Job Description
Job Description Infopact is a fast-growing government contractor built for a different kind of federal market — one that rewards intelligence, speed, and relentless follow-through over size and legacy relationships. We compete for work most companies our size can't touch, because we out-research, out-hustle, and out-execute. If you want a seat where your work directly decides whether we win or lose — not one small cog in a massive BD machine — Infopact is where that happens.
Infopact is hiring a Business Development & Capture Manager to own our Department of Defense pipeline from sourcing through contract award. At Infopact, business development and capture are one job, not two — you'll find the opportunity, build the intelligence, drive the influence, and stay on it straight through submission and debrief. You'll track 30–50 active DoD pursuits at a time, keep a Top 15 sharpened for the deepest attention, and work directly with senior leadership every week to move the pipeline forward. This is a research-and-relationship role, not a meetings-and-teaming role — the people who win here are the ones who out-dig everyone else in the market.LocationReston, VA (Hybrid)Employment TypeFull-Time, ExemptReports ToCEO / Senior ManagementTravelUp to 15%ClearanceNone requiredCompensation$90,000 to $130,000 + performance-based incentiveWhat You'll Do
- Own assigned DoD pursuits end-to-end — from first identification through submission and into debrief. No hand-offs, no degraded intelligence.
- Build pursuit intelligence and document it to support proposal development.
- Drive influence through white papers, point papers, and other tactics targeted at specific, researched customer pain points — not generic meetings.
- Apply real rigor before recommending any teaming partner — know specifically what access and insight a partner brings before they're invited in.
- Represent Infopact's DoD portfolio at Industry Days and agency events.
- Keep pipeline data current and drive Infopact's Weekly Pipeline Review — status, execution against last week's next steps, and next week's plan.
- Execute capture activities on every opportunity and document them to assist in driving proposal quality, with direct input into how it's turned into AI prompts at kickoff.
- Represent the voice of the customer during Red Team proposal reviews.
- Participate in Infopact's weekly joint-opportunity review with our teaming partners.
Required
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrated sales experience — federal experience is not required. We care more about your ability to research, build relationships, and close than where you learned to do it.
- Genuine curiosity and sharp research instincts — you enjoy digging until you understand something better than anyone else in the room.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort using AI tools to accelerate research, synthesis, and proposal input.
- Competitive, self-directed, and resourceful — you don't wait to be told what to do next.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree.
- A working understanding of the DoD environment, or prior military experience.
- Familiarity with GOVWIN, SAM.gov, or similar federal opportunity research platforms.
- Prior exposure to federal business development or capture.
