Job DescriptionThis position is fully in person with a minimum five day a week schedule. While working hours will generally be 8:00AM-4:00PM, additional hours will be required. Weekend shifts are mandatory.This position is responsible for the daily operation of the warehouse, transportation and meat inspection facility by providing direct guidance and supervision of the Floor Supervisor and Logistics Supervisor. This will include assigning and scheduling assignment of work, reviewing and evaluating timely completion of work, ongoing colleague training, and counseling colleagues. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance and support to clients
- Provide efficient and effective direct supervision of daily activities and operations.
- Stays up-to-date on Customs, USDA, and Deringer policy and procedure changes.
- Timely and accurate completion of all daily tasks
- Report procedural changes, maintenance issues, and colleague matters to managers timely
- Demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills through delegating, training and motivating of colleagues.
- May handle specific assignments; such as customer correspondence, handling claims, and handling collections.
- Ensuring the safety and security of colleagues, building and equipment
- Communicates effectively with colleagues, client base and USDA inspectors.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Utilizing various internal software programs
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365
- Experience in bookkeeping and accounting
- Previous supervisor or managerial experience
