Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Shift: 2nd & 3rd Shifts
Pay: Up to $30/hr. based on experience
Location: Hudsonville, MI
Job Overview:
We are seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to support equipment reliability and plant operations on 2nd and 3rd shifts. These roles focus on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working independently during off-shift hours.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
- Diagnose and repair machinery, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Support ammonia refrigeration systems (experience preferred)
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Troubleshoot electrical systems ranging from 24VDC to 480VAC
- Wire and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), including communication issues
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and take corrective action to restore operations
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Preventive maintenance and machine repair experience
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Experience working with electrical schematics and controls
- Familiarity with VFD wiring and communication
- Ammonia refrigeration experience is a strong plus
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
