Litigation Associate (4–7 Years) – Washington, D.C. | Onsite

Overview
Direct Counsel is seeking a mid-level Litigation Associate to join a highly regarded law firm in Washington, D.C. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated complex commercial litigation matters alongside a nationally recognized team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support complex commercial litigation matters
• Conduct legal research and draft high-level briefs, motions, and pleadings
• Participate in all phases of litigation, including discovery and trial preparation
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients on case strategy

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of complex commercial litigation experience
• Admission to both the DC Bar and Virginia Bar required
• Strong academic credentials from a top-tier law school
• Excellent legal writing and analytical skills
• Judicial clerkship experience preferred (EDVa strongly preferred)
• Current clerks are encouraged to apply

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $310,000 – $420,000 + bonus (based on class year)
