Distro Capital is hiring on behalf of a Missouri-based land development company that’s scaling fast.

This firm specializes in residential land development — acquiring raw land, managing entitlements, overseeing infrastructure installation, and delivering shovel-ready lots for national homebuilders. With multiple 7- and 8-figure projects already in motion and more coming online every month, the team is expanding and looking for a driven, detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support execution across the portfolio.

Role Summary:

The business is scaling fast and we need someone who thrives in a hands‑on, fast‑paced development environment. As our Assistant Project Manager you’ll work directly under senior leadership, managing timelines, tracking progress, and ensuring key deliverables get done — from dirt to doors. You’ll support the development lifecycle of our land and vertical‑construction projects across Missouri, contributing to expanding our footprint and output.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior PMs on multiple active land‑development and vertical‑construction projects
  • Maintain and update project timelines, dashboards and status reports
  • Monitor deliverables: site clearing, grading, utilities, easements, permits, municipal approvals, builder take‑down coordination
  • Attend on‑site visits, validate subcontractor work, report findings and escalate issues
  • Coordinate with engineering firms, municipalities, city councils, and builder partners
  • Track budgets, commitments, vendor communications and schedule adherence
  • Pro‑actively identify bottlenecks/risks (e.g., building setback lines, survey inconsistencies) and recommend solutions
  • Support the senior team in scaling systems, workflows and documentation as business continues to grow

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of experience in construction, land development, civil engineering, or related environment
  • Strong organizational skills, and comfort working in a dynamic, high‑velocity development setting
  • Excellent communication skills: able to interact with internal stakeholders, external vendors, municipalities and builders
  • Willing and able to visit sites regularly — valid driver’s license required
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the St. Louis/Missouri area

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience working with subdivisions, zoning/entitlements, ALTA/plat surveys, builder lot take‑downs
  • Familiarity with BTR (build‑to‑rent) or residential developer market cycles
  • Ability to contribute to workflow/process improvement as we scale

Why Join Us:

  • Be part of a growing business with large‑scale ambitions and real “ground‑up” development exposure
  • Work with an experienced leadership team who have delivered multiple successful projects
  • Real opportunity to take ownership, make an impact and grow alongside our pipeline of Missouri land/vertical builds
