Our client is looking for one experienced tech to help with their cable needs on some long term initiatives. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with a leading telecommunications vendor. Basic skills include running, installing, and terminating low voltage cable.
This technician will be responsible for supporting the team in (running), Installing, and terminating Low Voltage and Fiber Cable. They will be terminating Fiber with Unicam connectors, performing testing, and potentially running small crews if open to it. Every once in a while they may have to perform their own drops, but most of the time will be assisting the lead/foreman.
If they have any fiber knowledge that is big, but also copper work and willing to train up on the fiber (But still need some foundation). They are also open to green candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn after they hire they original Fiber Resources. This is set for a long term contract but they have strong history of bringing people on perm and is very stable.
This position will be at various Northrop Grumman sites here in Linthicum/BWI area.
Really looking for someone that wants to grow within the company and is a team player. Government site so need to be professional and represent the company well.
1. 3+ years of Experience within the cable industry (preferably Commercial Work).
2. Experience Running, Installing, and Terminating Low Voltage Cable, copper/fiber (Unicam terminations preferred).
3. Reliable and Ability to be client facing.
