Role Overview
The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will support testing, documentation, and compliance activities for regulated medical device software. You will contribute to verification planning, automated test development, requirements traceability, and test execution. Working closely with software developers, systems engineers, and quality teams, you will help ensure that software meets safety, performance, and regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle.Key Responsibilities
- Support verification and validation activities for medical device software.
- Contribute to requirements traceability, test protocol creation, and test execution.
- Develop and run automated tests to expand coverage and efficiency.
- Create test reports and maintain documentation aligned with quality system requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clarity, alignment, and timely issue resolution.
- Support ongoing improvements in software test processes and tools.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in software, component, or product-level testing.
- Permanent authorization to work in the United States.
- Understanding of software testing principles and verification best practices.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python (or willingness to learn).
- Familiarity with automated testing tools or frameworks.
- Knowledge of IEC 62304 or regulated software development environments.
- Experience using JIRA or similar bug-tracking tools.
- Experience with requirements management tools such as JAMA.
- Ability to develop or support Python utilities for manufacturing or field service teams.
- Willingness to develop knowledge in cybersecurity risk assessment and mitigation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
