Job Details Location: St Clair, MI 48054 Job Type: Full Time Salary: Competitive compensation (details to be discussed during the hiring process) Position Overview The Automotive Biller / Title Clerk processes vehicle sales transactions and prepares legal transfer documents for submission to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). This role is essential to ensure accurate and timely handling of vehicle registration, titling, billing, and related documentation. Key Responsibilities Process registration and title documents for new and used vehicle sales. Utilize Computerized Vehicle Registration (CVR) software for transactions. Prepare tax, title, and transfer paperwork and submit to the DMV. Verify payment collection and accurate lienholder payoffs before title processing. Ensure accuracy and completeness of vehicle applications. Generate payoff checks for vehicles and trade-ins. Bill dealer trades and prepare Certificates of Origin. Maintain records for out-of-state titles and outstanding title work. Create monthly reports for management regarding title statuses and outstanding funds. Coordinate and direct title runner operations and cross-train team members. Conduct training sessions for sales and F&I personnel on title regulations and procedures. Prepare invoices, credit memorandums, and post financial transactions to accounting records. Maintain accurate logs of vehicle warranties and extended service contracts. Support yearly renewal processes for dealer tags in collaboration with finance staff. Stay current with title regulations and participate in relevant seminars and training. Perform additional related duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods working at a desk and computer. Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds. Navigate various departments within the facility as needed.

Job Requirement: High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of one year office clerical experience; automotive dealership experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient typing and documentation abilities. Dependable with strong attention to detail. General telephone skills and professionalism. Ability to learn and adapt to title regulations and procedures. Willingness to participate in training and cross-functional duties.
