Growth Services Inc. is a growing commercial landscape management company serving HOAs, municipal utility districts, and commercial properties throughout the greater Houston area. We are seeking an experienced Irrigation Specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong troubleshooting skills, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is committed to providing exceptional service to our clients. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial irrigation systems.
- Repair and install PVC pipe, valves, controllers, wiring, spray heads, rotors, drip irrigation, and related components.
- Program and adjust irrigation controllers for seasonal water management.
- Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic irrigation issues.
- Perform irrigation inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Identify repair opportunities and recommend system improvements.
- Complete accurate work orders, inspections, and material documentation.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and fully stocked service vehicle.
- Operate trenching and irrigation equipment safely.
- Communicate professionally with Account Managers, Production Managers, clients, and team members.
- Follow all company safety standards and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years of commercial irrigation experience preferred with 2 wire experience (troubleshooting and installation).
- Texas Irrigation Technician License preferred (or ability to obtain).
- Backflow Certification is a plus.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Strong understanding of commercial irrigation systems, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Experience using irrigation controllers from major manufacturers.
- Ability to read irrigation plans and site maps.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb, dig, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to drive between multiple commercial properties throughout the day.
