Talent Harbor has partnered with a premier national distributor of high-performance building materials operating a multi-state network across the U.S. We are seeking an autonomous, floor-first Operations Supervisor to lead daily warehouse logistics, container receiving, inventory control, and light material processing at our client's Honolulu facility.
\n
\n
Because this Oahu branch operates with high autonomy from mainland corporate headquarters, you will serve as the primary tactical leader on-site. We are looking for a visible, hands-on floor leader who steps onto a facility floor and immediately identifies how to organize workflows, streamline receiving, and keep a crew safe and efficient.

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day

- Lead the Floor: Directly mentor, train, and coach an on-site crew of 10 to 20 hourly warehouse operators, material handlers, and equipment operators.
- Drive Island Logistics: Oversee container freight receiving, stock staging, inventory replenishment, and local island order fulfillment.
- Optimize Storage & Workflows: Apply Lean/5S principles to maximize warehouse capacity, organize staging cells, and minimize product damage.
- Master Floor Metrics: Take ownership of key operational KPIs, including Inventory Accuracy, Order Fulfillment Speed, On-Time Delivery, and Labor Productivity.
- Oversee Equipment & Safety: Maintain strict safety parameters and routine preventative maintenance for industrial forklifts, material handling tools, and basic cutting/processing machinery.
- Maintain Data Integrity: Drive daily material transactions in a modern ERP platform utilizing handheld RF barcode scanners for high inventory accuracy.

Note: This position focuses entirely on warehouse, inventory, and floor execution. Customer invoicing and sales order entry are handled separately by front-office teams.

What We’re Looking For
\n
- \n
- Supervisory Experience: 3 to 5+ years of shift-lead or supervisory experience within a warehouse, logistics hub, distribution center, or commercial supply operations setting. (Prior manufacturing background is a bonus, but NOT required—we will train on specialized material handling).
- Hands-On Leadership: High mechanical aptitude and complete willingness to jump in, operate a forklift, or load materials alongside your crew to hit tight delivery deadlines.
- ERP & RF Scanner Discipline: Proven experience using modern inventory tracking software and handheld RF scanners for daily cycle counts and stock movements.
- Process Improvement Mindset: Demonstrated ability to implement 5S/Lean organization techniques that leave a warehouse safer, cleaner, and faster.
- Physical Capability & Reliability: Ability to stand/walk concrete floors for extended shifts, lift up to 50 lbs safely, and maintain a steady local employment record.
