Cahills Construction is hiring an experienced carpenter skilled in framing, commercial doors and hardware, and general carpentry. We’re looking for a dependable professional who takes pride in quality workmanship and can complete assigned work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform wood and light-gauge metal framing, including walls, backing, blocking, and rough openings.
- Install commercial doors, frames, and hardware, including locksets, closers, panic devices, and accessories.
- Adjust doors and hardware for proper alignment, clearances, and operation.
- Install trim, casework, shelving, and other finish carpentry.
- Read plans, specifications, and door schedules to lay out and execute work accurately.
- Complete general carpentry, repairs, renovations, and punch-list work.
- Coordinate with the superintendent and other trades to meet project schedules.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite.
Qualifications
- At least five years of carpentry experience; commercial construction experience preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in framing and commercial door, frame, and hardware installation.
- Ability to read drawings, take accurate measurements, and perform layout independently.
- Proficiency with carpentry tools and installation equipment.
- Dependable attendance, reliable transportation, and a valid driver’s license.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
