Your Day-to-Day as our Technical Lead

You are an influential, service-providing team member who elevates technical standards, reinforces shop culture, and supports stylist and barber development. You'll lead by example behind the chair, help onboard new team members, and ensure every guest experience reflects the Floyd's brand.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality services including fades, clipper work, razor services, beard trims, long-hair cutting, and color.
• Coach barbers and stylists on technique, consultation, guest experience, and sanitation standards.
• Assist with onboarding and skill development for new hires.
• Support daily shop flow, maintain operational consistency, and uphold Floyd's standards.
• Partner with the Shop Leader/Owner as the shop scales and the team grows.

Requirements

• Valid Barber or Cosmetology license.
• 3+ years of experience as a barber or stylist
• Management experience in any industry
• Strong communicator with the ability to coach, guide, and motivate others.
• Positive, reliable, professional, and comfortable leading in a fast-paced environment.
• Alignment with Floyd's culture: energetic, authentic, team-centered, and music-driven.

Compensation

$60,000 – $100,000 per year potential
Potential for $60k+
Competitive 5-tier commission structure ranging from 42% to 50%, based on individual productivity, with an hourly base pay guarantee and additional commission on product sales.
