A Wire Processing Team Member is responsible for performing wire marking,cutting, and terminaling operations to satisfy internal and external customer orders.
This position is key in Marsh Electronic’s ability to continually meet and exceed production goals while continuing to delivery high quality products to our customers.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Not Applicable
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the care and maintenance of all perishable tooling fixtures and wire processing machinery.
- Cuts and marks wire per drawing and program specifications with the appropriate equipment
- Maintains a high level of quality and productivity in all wire marking and cutting operations.
- Use existing maintenance logs to track all machine maintenance.
- Assist at times in set up of production personnel on the work floor.
- All “PR” status wire / tubing orders shall be cut / finished daily.
- Advanced knowledge of IPC Training Modules.
- Stage work orders
- Strip wire using wire stripping machine
- Responsible for maintaining a clean work area
Required Skills/Abilities:
· High attention to detail is required
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, with the ability to speak and understand English
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers
· Must be able to convert units of measurement
· Time management
· Knowledge of operating crimping press, computer micrometer, scales, and other measuring devices
· Read and interpret schematic drawings diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, reports to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions
· Must be required to read measuring devices such as rulers, micrometers, calipers, scales, and use magnifying aids
· Critical thinking, required to troubleshoot machine issues
Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· 1-3 years related experience
· Or equivalent combination of education and experience
