A well-established 250-bed community hospital in the Kansas City, MO suburbs is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to support their pharmacy team. This contract opportunity offers a stable weekday schedule at a reputable facility, perfect for both local and traveling pharmacists.
Location:
- Lees Summit, MO (Kansas City metropolitan area)
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday through Friday
- 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Duration:
- 13 weeks with potential extension
Responsibilities:
- Verify and process medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
- Manage pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring
- Consult with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to optimize patient care
- Utilize hospital systems such as Meditech and Pyxis for medication management
Qualifications:
- Active Missouri Pharmacist license required
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of medication order verification and pharmacokinetics
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with Meditech and Pyxis systems is a plus
