If so, Altor Solutions wants you to keep our building, grounds, and production equipment running safely and efficiently.

Core responsibilities

  • Own general maintenance for the facility and machines: identify root causes and implement effective repairs; complete preventive maintenance on plant equipment and fork trucks.
  • Clean, lubricate, grease, and oil tools and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist operators and peers in diagnosing machine malfunctions.
  • Perform minor electrical work (e.g., bulbs, fuses) and support light carpentry; if licensed, perform routine service on electrically powered equipment per supervisor guidance and service manuals.
  • Service and replace minor plumbing fixtures.
  • Paint, varnish, and stain surfaces to protect and improve appearance.
  • Set up, remove, and properly store production molds per documented procedures.
  • Bench test, clean, rebuild, and inspect fill guns and ejectors to maintain usability.
  • Collect, test, and report water samples throughout the process for hardness, pH, and other metrics.
  • Follow job specs/task lists and complete all required paperwork.
  • Drive reliability through preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Model safe work: comply with all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout; wear PPE correctly; uphold Altor Solutions’ conduct standards.
  • Keep your area clean, and assist with assigned building/equipment cleaning.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED required; two-year technical degree/certificate preferred.
  • 3+ years of related maintenance experience and the ability to work independently in a developed trade.
  • Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP work order processes.
  • Experience monitoring and maintaining low pressure boilers, air compressors, air driers, and vacuum pumps.
  • Experience maintaining forklifts.
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, with overtime and after-hour meetings as needed.

Materials provided

The plant supplies the tools required to perform all job functions; candidates may use personal tools if reviewed and approved by plant management.

Physical requirements

  • Frequently lift/carry up to 45 pounds; close vision capability.
  • Regularly sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
  • Frequently stand and walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop/crouch; bend or twist.
  • Occasionally push, pull, and move material; work in awkward positions under equipment and near operating machinery.

Work environment
