ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Cable Department Technician assumes responsibility for the everyday workflow of the Cable Department by testing and packaging of all cables and cable related equipment to assure quality control.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

- Strong communication skills with the ability to relate to various groups of internal and external customers as well as supervise employees.
- High level attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in cable systems trouble shooting techniques.
- Ability to excel and adapt in a fast-paced, client driven, demanding environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude under sometimes challenging conditions.
EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma.
- 2+ Years' experience preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work with colleagues to complete the daily workflow.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Perform check-out of all cables and cases.
- Prioritize workflow based on production calendar.
- Follow documented procedures to ensure that all cable related products pass all visual and mechanical tests before being cleared for field use.
- Record inventory transactions daily in the ERP system.
- Maintain all cable checking equipment in good working order as well as schedule or perform preventive maintenance and upgrades to test equipment in a timely manner.
- Operate the cable tester when necessary.
- Promote the maintenance of a clean and safe workspace.
- Assist other departments as required.
