We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ASE CERTIFIED Automotive Technician to LEAD our service team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive automotive repair expertise, including dealership experience, advanced diagnostics, and proficiency with modern vehicle systems. This role offers an opportunity to work on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including foreign and domestic vehicles and diesel engines (occasionally), utilizing state-of-the-art tools and technology, while taking the lead technician position in our shop. A strong commitment to quality workmanship and excellent customer service is essential for success in this position.
We are an independent repair shop, we have been serving the Springfield area for 33 years. We are generally busy, and need help keeping up with the demand. We value each and every technician, and treat everyone with respect. Our techs usually stay with us on average about 10 years, and a lot of them have retired with us over the years. (which is why we are seeking 2 experienced technicians)
The lead tech position includes bonuses based on shop weekly hours.
You will get weekly paychecks, and you will NEVER have to work evenings or weekends again.

Experience
- Proven service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Hands-on experience with domestic and foreign vehicles is required; familiarity with diesel engine repair is a plus.
- Proficiency in using schematics, diagnostic scanners, auto estimating software, and other technical tools required for modern vehicle diagnostics.
- Demonstrated ability to perform complex repairs involving mechanical knowledge and automotive electrical systems.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. . This position requires a dedicated professional with a passion for automotive technology and a commitment to delivering exceptional service quality.
