Senior Cloud Solutions Architect

A Brief Overview
N2IA is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect - Cloud to leverage their expertise to support a DoD client's cloud transformation efforts (large scale migrations, financial operations, and modernization efforts). As a Solutions Architect - Cloud you will leverage your systems engineering and cloud operations expertise to review existing applications and architecture, develop diagrams and documentation of existing infrastructure, and provide recommendations for a To-Be solution tech stack. You will work alongside your team and key stakeholders to understand and optimize cloud usage as well as quantify business value.
What You'll Need to Succeed
· Identify solutions based on business and technical criteria, analyze alternatives based on trade space, and implement designs.
· Research current and emerging technologies and process methodologies and proposing changes and tailoring where needed.
· Interface and work with multiple stakeholders including DoD personnel, and other contracted services providers to identify problems, gather requirements, and deliver solutions.
· Assess the system and business process architectures currently in place and works with staff to recommend improvements.
· Guide the solutions architect to create relevant DoDAF documentation (SV, OV, CV), for existing architectures to include network diagramming, update appropriately to reflect ongoing changes, and develop "To-Be" documentation based on proposed solutions
· Understand system communications and connections (such as APIs and other interfaces), help document information flows and propose optimizations
· Work with product owners to understand and document software requirements of the tech stack within each of 20+ systems, provide recommendations for alternatives/improvements
· Create Architecture Decision Records to document the process and outcomes of relevant activities
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
· Clearance: SECRET Clearance Required
· 4+ years of experience of working as a solution architect or engineer in an AWS environment to include design and documentation experience
· 6+ years of experience in a related field (networking, development, cloud development, security)
· 4+ years of system engineering/design experience
· Proven ability to lead development of technical data packages such as a system description, Interface Control Document (ICD), CONOPS, related appendices and detail artifacts such as an API (Application Programming Interface) SDD (System Description Documents), DoDAF documents, and systems and enterprise architecture packages.
· Experience managing the system engineering lifecycle, analysis of alternatives, proofs of concepts, and operational pilots
· Experience identifying issues in existing AWS environments and optimizing them
· Experience using DevSecOps tools, such as Ansible, Jenkins, Jira, Git and automation tools (e.g. GitHub)
Certifications:
· Preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (active) or above

· AWS SysOps Administrator - Associate
· AWS Developer - Associate
· AWS DevOps Engineer - Professional
