Job Summary:
OWT Global is pleased to announce a position opening for Unmanned Aircraft Systems Traffic Management (UTM), NINJA, Windtalker, FS-SUADS, Skydio X10D, and Low Collateral Effects Interceptor (LCEI) Field Service Representative (FSR) Subject Matter Expert (SME) specialist for the integration of UAS and CUAS technology supporting within the Contiguous United States (CONUS) in support of DoD requirements. Position and employment agreement are contingent on applicant's eligibility to meet and/or pass all pre-employment requirements and screening.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
OWT Global seeks exceptionally qualified individuals to serve as FSR SME specialists for the integration of UAS and CUAS technologies. The SME specialist will be required to provide on-site technical expertise to advance the integration of UAS platforms and CUAS systems from Research and Development to Operational Readiness. Provided comprehensive UAS and CUAS training and demonstrations to selected personnel. Serve as an SME in complex airspace operations and integrations. Develop concept of operations (CONOPs), concept of employment (CONEMPs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical analysis, and present recommended courses of action. Present supported customer with a recommended course of action for the installation location and pre-install work requirements. Perform operational assessments within a test/evaluation environment and submit comprehensive after-action reports to customers. Perform advanced troubleshooting of prototype and mature UAS and CUAS technology.
Job Requirements:
Guide the host unit, Air Force Research Lab (AFRL), and Prime on all UAS and CUAS system implementation and operation. The FSR SME shall provide weekly updates capturing what tests and evaluations were conducted and establish POAMs for ongoing projects. Provide to the units, AFRL, and Prime any requested UTM, NINJA, Windtalker, FS-SUADS, Paladin, or Skydio-related information and/or relevant data collected during operations. Advise/train host-unit on UTM, NINJA, Windtalker, FS-SUADS, Paladin, or Skydio upon systems installations and integration, and continuously as needed. Provide any requested input to host-unit leadership on the implementation of UTM, NINJA, Windtalker, FS-SUADS, Paladin, or Skydio-related checklists; tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs); and/or standard operating procedures (SOPs). Provide general upkeep of the UAS/CUAS systems. Conduct regular system operations and visual checks to confirm all systems are in good condition and are functioning properly. Conduct on-site tests, in coordination with the host unit, to understand the system's capabilities and provide feedback to the host unit and to the AFRL technical team in order to improve TTPs and/or SOPs and guide technical development. The FSR SME shall record all significant test events and distribute the event procedures and results to the relevant parties (e.g., host unit, AFRL technical team, Prime, etc.).
Basic Qualifications:
- Required:
- Active Secret security clearance
- Credentialed Air Traffic Controller Experience
- Ability to obtain FAA Class II Aviation Medical Certificate
- Ability to obtain FAA Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107)
- Desired:
- Operational or programmatic experience with radars and/or RF sensors
- Experience working with and/or at intermediate or higher headquarters staff for DoD and/or other Federal Government staff
- Airspace Management experience
- Experience developing operational procedures
- Experience in integrating manned/unmanned aircraft operations
- Mesh Networking understanding
- A base understanding of software and firmware
