We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to ensure the proper operation of Thermoforming equipment through maintenance, repairs, and rebuilding tasks. This role involves diagnosing problems, repairing machinery, and maintaining mechanical equipment, with a focus on ensuring machinery operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Dismantle defective machinery and equipment to access problem areas or install new/repaired parts.
- Perform maintenance on cup forming, packing, and high-speed machinery.
- Read and interpret industrial drawings and schematics.
- Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other issues.
- Repair and replace defective parts and molds.
- Realign and adjust machine components.
- Inspect used parts to determine if they meet acceptable standards.
- Repair and replace gauges, valves, and pressure regulators as needed.
- Lubricate and clean parts such as bearings, shafts, and gears.
- Test machines following repairs to ensure quality.
- Understand and practice Lockout Tagout (LOTO) and other related PPE.
- Perform maintenance with pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Assist production personnel in changeover and setup procedures.
- Use a computer for typing and logging work orders.
- Utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to document records and order parts.
Essential Skills
- Experience with fixing Thermoforming Machinery.
- Ability to provide own tools.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
- 3+ years of maintenance mechanic experience in manufacturing.
- Experience with high-speed equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret machine blueprints.
- Ability to read a ruler.
- High School Diploma.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr.
