Job Description: The Project Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of multiple personnel and technical process in support of the Personal Property – Household Goods (HHG) mission. The Project Supervisor ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery for inbound and outbound personal property shipments, storage in transit (SIT) management, inspections, counseling, and contractor oversight.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Provide day-to-day supervision and leadership to HHG staff and outside contractors.
- Conduct and monitor 1:1, virtual, and mass briefings for service members, civilian employees, and other authorized customers.
- Ensure team adherence to safety protocols and compliance with all regulations and organizational policies.
- Provide training, mentorship, and performance monitoring for frontline personnel.
- De-escalate verbally or physically aggressive situations in accordance with established procedures and client protocols.
- Oversee all phases of PPSO (Personal Property Shipping Office) operations, including liaison support, quality control, shipment processing, inspections, and client interaction.
- Manage daily service delivery to ensure all tasks are completed on schedule and meet quality standards.
- Monitor and manage project costs, including labor hours, materials, and contracted services.
- Maintain SIT control logs, track and trace shipments, and ensure proper documentation in Defense Personal Property System (DPS) and other systems.
- Approve/deny SIT requests, shipment addresses, and preapprovals in accordance with DTR and service-specific guidance.
- Process inbound and outbound shipments, including Personally Procured Moves (PPM), One-Time-Only (OTO) shipments, and reweigh requests.
- Conduct quality control inspections-physical, virtual, and special request-as required, and document results.
- Respond to HHG phone, email, and walk-in inquiries for both inbound and outbound shipments.
- Provide shipment counseling, entitlements information, and procedural guidance to military members and authorized DoD civilians.
- Present at Area Orientation Briefings, Smooth Moves, and Transition Assistance Programs as required.
- Provide cost estimates for member and civilian moves.
- Manage supply purchasing and inventory to support HHG operations, including materials for maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical trades as required.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchasing documentation for internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Utilize inventory management systems (e.g., MINCOM, SAP, Maximo) to track materials and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, with all applicable local, state, federal, and DoD regulations, DTR, IPPRS, and PPCIG procedures.
- Prepare, review, and submit operational reports, SF-1200s, and other documentation for internal and government review.
- Maintain communication and coordination with clients, government representatives, and GPSI leadership.

Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and ability to obtain military identification.
- Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
- Procurement and purchasing experience.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems (MINCOM, SAP, Maximo).
- Advanced computer skills in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Training in procurement procedures and policies.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to design, populate, and submit spreadsheets in a timely manner.
- Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on government contracts
- Familiarity with DTR, DPS, PPCIG, and IPPRS procedures
