TITLE: LAND USE & PUBLIC SECTOR ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
Are you looking to build a long-term career advising municipalities and public entities while gaining meaningful courtroom and boardroom experience? A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Land Use & Public Sector Associate Attorney to join its established and growing municipal and education law practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys working closely with public officials, school boards, and municipal agencies while handling impactful land use and regulatory matters that directly shape communities.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as trusted counsel to municipalities, school boards, and public entities
- Advise planning and zoning boards on land use applications and regulatory matters
- Attend and participate in public meetings and hearings
- Draft ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and legal opinions
- Provide strategic guidance on municipal compliance and governance matters
- Work alongside experienced attorneys in a collaborative and supportive environment
What We’re Looking For
- 2–6 years of experience in municipal, public sector, education, or labor law
- Experience with land use and zoning matters
- Experience working with municipal boards or school boards preferred
- JD from an accredited law school
- Active New Jersey Bar admission in good standing
- Strong analytical, writing, and interpersonal communication skills
