Location: Port Arthur, TX

Shift: 1st (6:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday - Thursday, 10 hours)

Job description:

To maintain equipment, vehicles, tools, buildings, etc. to help ensure that TEAM can operate effectively.

Summary of Major Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Maintains building systems (structural, utilities and energy, compressed air, HVAC, plumbing, computer and phone network wiring, trash, and recycling).

  • Maintains piping and cutting equipment.

  • Maintains welding equipment.

  • Maintains fabrication equipment.

  • Maintains shop and yard vehicles.

  • Maintains overhead cranes and hoists.

  • Maintains blast and paint equipment.

  • Maintains small tools (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, gas powered, hand tools)

  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Conducts work safely and follows all safety procedures. Rejects work that is not safe and discusses the situation with supervisor.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • High school diploma and or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers, or employees of the organization.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percent, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited, standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
