Job Description
This Technician role focuses on supporting a wide range of outdoor construction and hardscape projects, including walls, slopes, and excavation work. The position is ideal for someone with a solid labor experience who is comfortable working with tools and equipment, performing physically demanding tasks, and traveling between job sites—including occasional travel to nearby states for projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the construction of block walls, retaining walls, welded form walls, reinforced soil slopes, boulder walls, and soil anchoring systems
- Perform general construction labor tasks such as site preparation, material handling, and cleanup
- Support excavation activities, including working around and with excavation equipment as needed
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks
- Help with basic maintenance and care of tools and equipment used on the job site
- Read and interpret measurements using a tape measure to ensure accurate layout and installation
- Work on outdoor job sites in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety and productivity
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and according to project specifications
- Travel site-to-site and to project locations in neighboring states when required, following company guidelines for per diem and lodging
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of construction experience
- Experience in landscaping, hardscaping, or construction labor
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks daily
- Ability to use hand tools safely and correctly
- Ability to use power tools safely and correctly
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately
- Familiarity with construction activities such as concrete work, brick laying, and site development
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Willingness to travel between job sites and for out-of-state projects when needed
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with block walls, retaining walls, and other wall systems
- Experience in landscaping and hardscaping projects
- Experience operating or working around heavy equipment such as excavators
- Experience with excavation work and soil-related construction
- Experience with basic equipment maintenance is a strong plus
- Comfort working 50-hour weeks on a consistent basis

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
