Job DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated Help Desk Analyst I to join our team on a contract basis in Mequon, Wisconsin. This role involves providing comprehensive IT support to faculty, staff, and students within a higher education environment. You will assist with key projects, including system upgrades and office relocations, while delivering exceptional customer service and technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver first-level IT support to university faculty, staff, and students, addressing technical issues promptly.
• Assist in upgrading approximately 600 computers from Windows 10 to Windows 11, ensuring smooth transitions for all users.
• Support office relocations for approximately 200 individuals, including computer setups and file transfers.
• Respond to and manage IT-related support tickets, resolving user issues efficiently.
• Provide basic training and guidance to faculty, staff, and student workers on IT systems and tools.
• Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless operations and address technical challenges.
• Equip end-users with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
• Offer ad hoc assistance with general help desk responsibilities as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.• Proven experience with operating systems, including Windows (required) and Macintosh (preferred).
• Familiarity with tools such as OneDrive, Office 365, and Zoom, as well as imaging software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, computer hardware, and configuration management.
• Experience with deployments and device setups, including Apple and Android technologies.
• Capability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a dynamic work environment.
