Summary

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects by reviewing drawings, specifications, and related documents. This role requires strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and modular building processes, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients.

Responsibilities

· Work closely with sales team to review project plans, specifications, and design documents to develop accurate cost estimates for modular construction projects.

· Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, material, labor, and equipment costs.

· Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive and complete pricing.

· Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed estimates at different stages of design.

· Evaluate constructability, value engineering opportunities, and potential cost savings.

· Collaborate with sales, project management and design teams to ensure estimates align with project requirements and budgets.

· Maintain historical cost databases and benchmarking tools to improve accuracy of future estimates.

· Support proposal preparation and participate in client presentations as needed.

· Monitor market trends, material pricing, and subcontractor availability to stay current with industry conditions.

· Assist in risk analysis, budget preparation, and project scheduling input.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

· 3+ years of experience in estimating within construction, general contracting, or prefabrication.

· Strong knowledge of industrial and commercial building methods, materials, and building codes.

· Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Sage Estimating, ProEst, Bluebeam, or similar), Microsoft Office & Google Suite.

· Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.

· Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
