LEAD ARCHITECT / FULL-STACK LEAD
100% Remote | United States or Global

OVERVIEW
We are partnering with a venture-backed health and biotechnology organization that is building a next-generation platform at the intersection of biology, data, and AI. This is a greenfield opportunity to architect and build a proprietary technology platform from the ground up as the company transitions from a founder-led build to a scaled engineering organization.

This role is ideal for a senior technologist who wants true ownership, technical authority, and the ability to shape both product and platform strategy in a mission-driven environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Own the end-to-end technical architecture and long-term roadmap for a complex, data-intensive platform
• Personally develop and maintain core proprietary logic, including AI/ML and multi-omic data integration
• Define technology standards, tools, and frameworks aligned to long-term business and scientific goals
• Act as the final architectural authority, reviewing and approving major technical decisions
• Translate high-level business and scientific requirements into executable technical plans
• Partner closely with scientific advisors, internal stakeholders, and engineering teams
• Establish standards for code quality, scalability, and development velocity
• Balance hands-on development with architectural oversight and strategic coordination

HOW YOUR TIME IS TYPICALLY SPENT

• Approximately 40% hands-on coding of critical systems and logic
• Approximately 30% architecture, code review, and technical leadership
• Approximately 30% strategy, planning, and cross-functional coordination

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Senior-level experience as a Lead Architect, Principal Engineer, or Full-Stack Lead
• Deep experience designing and building complex platforms from scratch
• Strong background in data-intensive systems, AI/ML, or advanced analytics
• Comfort operating with high autonomy in an early-stage or scaling environment
• Ability to move fast while maintaining rigorous technical standards
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
