Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a Quality Assurance Lead in our Deep Etch Department. We are looking for individuals who have excellent attention to detail and are committed to producing high quality etched glassware. The QA Lead receives etched glassware from the Sand Blaster and is responsible for thoroughly cleaning each piece using a commercial hot water dishwashing machine. This role also includes removing all masking (sticker) material and tape from each glass and ensuring the finished product meets quality standards.

To succeed, you need to place high emphasis on producing quality work, be able to stand for long hours, be comfortable with manual labor and can spot imperfections. This role will be cross-trained across the department.

This is one of the most important positions on the assembly line as other associates look to this role for guidance and instruction. This role serves as a key quality assurance checkpoint, making sure each piece of glassware is clean, defect-free, and ready for packing.

  • Inspecting each piece for quality, cleanliness, and etching accuracy
  • Identifying and reporting defects or issues
  • Handling glassware carefully to prevent damage or breakage
  • Keeping the washing area clean and organized
  • Stepping into other department roles when necessary to cover shortages

The strongest candidates will have:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, assembly line environment
  • Leadership experience
  • Comfort handling fragile glassware
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience

Additional role details:

  • You may need to stand for up to 8 hours. There are two, 15-minute paid breaks and one 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Work may be repetitive at times.
  • In general, work hours are from Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30PM. Occasional Saturday work may be required.
  • Pay begins at $16.00 - $18.00 per hour, based on experience.
