Overview
CTG is seeking to fill a Performance Engineer position for our client.
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 12 months
Responsibilities:

Design, execute, and analyze performance, load, and stress tests for applications and platforms.

Monitor system health using APM/observability tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus).

Identify performance bottlenecks, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend solutions.

Develop automated test scripts and integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to ensure scalable, efficient applications.
Requirements:

Strong experience with LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling, NeoLoad, or Dynatrace.

Proficient in scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell) and performance monitoring tools.

Analytical problem-solving skills and effective communication.

5+ years in performance engineering/testing.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Nice to Have:
-
Knowledge of web, API, cloud, and distributed architectures.

CI/CD integration experience.

Familiarity with containerized/cloud environments (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP).
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
