Position Overview
The Server plays a central role in delivering BHAWK’s signature hospitality experience. This position requires a balance of professionalism, efficiency, and genuine guest engagement. Servers ensure smooth front‐of‐house operations by managing tables, coordinating with kitchen and bar teams, and maintaining a high level of situational awareness throughout service. The role supports daily service, special events, and private functions, contributing directly to BHAWK’s reputation for exceptional guest care.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service & Experience
- Provide a warm, professional greeting to every guest upon arrival.
- Maintain active awareness of guest needs, anticipating requests before they arise.
- Offer knowledgeable guidance on menu items, specials, and beverage pairings.
- Handle guest concerns promptly and escalate issues to management when appropriate.
- Uphold BHAWK’s hospitality standards through consistent attentiveness and polished communication.
Order Management
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using clear, professional communication.
- Enter orders into the POS system with precision to ensure correct routing and timing.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to maintain smooth service flow and timely delivery.
- Verify order accuracy before leaving the service station.
Food & Beverage Delivery
- Deliver food and beverages according to BHAWK’s presentation, timing, and service standards.
- Conduct table touch‐backs to confirm guest satisfaction and address additional needs.
- Maintain table cleanliness throughout the dining experience, including clearing, resetting, and pre‐bussing.
- Support bar runners and food runners during peak periods.
Operational Support
- Assist with event setups, transitions, and breakdowns, including table layouts, décor, and service stations.
- Follow all opening, mid‐shift, and closing procedures consistently.
- Maintain awareness of daily operational notes, menu changes, and event details communicated by management.
- Support FOH teamwork by assisting colleagues during high‐volume periods.
Compliance, Safety & Standards
- Follow all alcohol service laws, including ID verification and responsible service practices.
- Adhere to sanitation, hygiene, and safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain compliance with BHAWK policies, including communication standards and conduct expectations.
- Report any incidents, injuries, or policy violations immediately to management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Prior serving experience preferred; hospitality or event experience strongly valued.
- Strong communication skills with a professional, guest‐focused demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in fast‐paced environments.
- POS proficiency or ability to learn quickly.
- Reliable, punctual, and team‐oriented.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
