Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated, highly skilled technician to perform preventative maintenance and entry-level mechanical repairs on commercial trucks. This position supports fleet and customer vehicle safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance services in accordance with manufacturer and company standards, including inspections, lubrication, fluid, and filter replacement.
- Inspect and perform clutch and brake adjustments and related repairs.
- Inspect, service, and repair 5th wheel assemblies.
- Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on heating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Conduct steering and suspension repairs, including replacement of related components.
- Assist with drivetrain repairs, including drivelines, U-joints, and differentials.
- Accurately document all work performed on repair orders and inspection reports.
- Operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, and basic diagnostic equipment in a safe manner.
- Perform state and federal safety inspections as trained and authorized.
- Assist with emissions-related inspections and maintenance where applicable.
- Comply with all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and applicable state and federal laws.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Salary:
- $18.00 to $23.00 hourly
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1–2 years of diesel technician experience in diagnosing and repairing light, medium and heavy-duty trucks.
- Experience performing PM related services.
- Must have a valid driver’s license: CDL Preferred.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs/push-pull 75lbs.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- ASE certification preferred.
- CDL certification preferred. (We will train)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screening required by DOT.
