DEAPRTMENT: Retail
REPORTS TO: Retail Director
SUMMARY: Assists the Director of Retail in all retail venues to ensure maximum profitability while providing an enjoyable shopping experience for guests. Helps promote retail through social media, events and online store. Able to adapt to fluctuating priorities within the retail venues. Maintain interdepartmental lines of communication, and interact on a daily basis with guest and resort staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Oversee and manage employees in the absence of the Retail Director. Work in all retail venues.
- Ensuring all retail stores are properly covered, and all staff are given appropriate breaks.
- Assist in retail staff meetings to ensure regular, timely communication within the retail department.
- Responsible for assisting in the comprehensive sales plan for all retail outlets and helps maintain record of all orders and invoices by assisting with data entry.
- Helps with social media posts on the retail Facebook and Instagram accounts. This includes Facebook Live, modeling, fashion shows and other special events as needed to meet retail revenue goals.
- Assists with receiving, pricing, unpacking and inventory of merchandise. Needs to be aware of necessary product rotation or markdown. Restocks sales supplies and keep all areas neat and clean.
- Maintaining online store by adding new products when items are received. Fulfill any online orders the next business day.
- Ensures all sales transactions are recorded and verified for accuracy. Especially online store quantities.
- Assists with year-end inventory.
- Helps with special orders and requests and ensures prompt follow-up.
- Assist with processing crafters for all Ruttger's events including Oktoberfest, Christmas Market and 218 Days.
- Assist the Retail Director with buying store inventory, staying on trend with the current market.
- Assists with interviews, hiring and training retail staff members as needed, requested, or required.
- Foster positive working relationships and communication with all departments.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Previous retail and management experience preferred.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to pass Ruttger’s background check.
- Stand; walk; sit; kneel; lift; push; pull; reach with arms and hands; move objects weighing up to forty (40) pounds.
- Valid Driver’s License.
