Overview:
We are seeking a Certified Maintenance Technician to support daily maintenance operations at a residential apartment community. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. EPA Certification is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily work orders, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the community
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems (EPA certification required)
- Conduct electrical, plumbing, appliance, and carpentry repairs
- Complete make-ready turns efficiently and ensure units are move-in ready
- Maintain grounds, common areas, and community cleanliness
- Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with safety and fair housing standards
- Assist with emergency on-call rotation as needed
- Communicate effectively with residents, office staff, and maintenance teams
- Maintain accurate records of work completed
Requirements
- EPA Certification (Universal or Type I/II) — required
- 1–3+ years of apartment maintenance or related trade experience
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair
- Ability to use basic maintenance tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator)
- Experience with Yardi, RealPage, or other work order systems
- Previous multifamily experience
- Carpentry or drywall repair skills
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- On-call rotation may be required
