Project Engineer I (Or Project Engineer II)

Position Overview
The Project Engineer I will play a crucial role in supporting municipal engineering projects, ensuring compliance with design standards and regulatory requirements. This position involves collaboration with various teams to deliver effective solutions in water and sanitary networks, stormwater management, and infrastructure design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and implementation of municipal projects using Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
  • Conduct water and wastewater design and analysis, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop technical documentation and construction documents.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure project compliance.
  • Support construction management activities, including contract administration and site inspections.
  • Utilize GIS for project planning and data analysis related to infrastructure development.
  • Contribute to problem-solving efforts by providing technical insights and innovative solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • EIT Certification, progression to PE License.
  • Experience with Municipal Engineering practices and project management.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D.
  • Knowledge of water/wastewater design and water quality management.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with environmental engineering principles and regulatory compliance is a plus.
  • Experience in infrastructure design and construction management is preferred.
