Mammography / Radiologic Technologist – Full Time

Full-Time | Daytime Position
Mammography. X-Ray. CT.
Community Hospital-Fairfax is seeking a compassionate, skilled Mammography / Radiologic Technologist to join our multi-modality imaging team.
This is not a mammography-only position. In addition to performing screening and diagnostic mammography, this technologist will also perform general radiography and CT examinations as part of their regular responsibilities.

A True Multi-Modality Position
Our technologists have the opportunity to work across different areas of diagnostic imaging rather than being limited to a single modality.
In this position, you will:
· Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography
· Perform general diagnostic radiography
· Perform CT examinations
· Obtain and document relevant patient history
· Explain procedures and help patients feel comfortable and informed
· Perform accurate positioning and evaluate images for technical quality
· Provide appropriate radiation protection and follow established safety practices
· Work with outpatient, inpatient and emergency department patients
· Collaborate closely with radiologists, providers, nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team
· Participate in mammography quality assurance and quality control activities
· Help maintain compliance with MQSA and ACR requirements
· Maintain required continuing education and mammography experience requirements

Qualifications
Required:
· ARRT certification in Radiography, ARRT(R)
· Mammography education and experience meeting applicable MQSA requirements
· Ability and willingness to perform mammography, general radiography and CT
· Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within the required timeframe
· Strong patient-care and communication skills
· Commitment to radiation safety, image quality and regulatory compliance
· Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-modality hospital environment
Preferred:
· ARRT certification in Mammography, ARRT(M)
· CT experience and/or ARRT certification in Computed Tomography, ARRT(CT)
· Previous experience working in multiple imaging modalities
