Build a Long-Term Career in Industrial Painting
Are you an experienced Industrial Painter looking for steady work, good pay, overtime, and long-term job security?
Join an established structural steel fabrication company with more than 53 years in business and a secured backlog of work through 2031. This is an opportunity to build a career with a stable company—not just take another job.
You'll apply protective coatings and high-build epoxies to large structural steel assemblies, water control gates, hydraulic-driven hoists, and other custom steel fabrications used on major dam, hydro, and construction projects.
What You'll Do
- Apply industrial protective coatings to large structural steel assemblies and fabricated components
- Operate airless and air-powered paint sprayers
- Apply high-build epoxies according to project specifications
- Follow SSPC coating and painting practices
- Perform wet-film thickness, dry-film thickness, holiday, and other coating inspections using NDE equipment
- Evaluate surface preparation, including anchor patterns and blasting conditions
- Identify welds, excessive weld spatter, and other surface conditions requiring repair
- Estimate required paint quantities, materials, and application time
- Coordinate with the shop foreman regarding drying time, workspace, and material layout
- Maintain paint equipment, spray equipment, brushes, tools, and paint booth in clean working condition
- Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety and environmental requirements
- Work safely from scaffolding when required
- Manage multiple projects and coating requirements while maintaining quality standards
What We're Looking For
- Previous industrial, commercial, structural steel, or production painting experience
- Experience using airless and/or air-powered paint sprayers
- Experience applying high-build epoxy coatings
- Ability to consistently achieve a uniform, quality coating application
- Ability to read and follow project specifications and coating requirements
- Ability to estimate paint/material quantities and job completion times
- Comfortable working from scaffolding
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to pass required paint/application testing, including a uniform application test
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Vocational/technical training is a plus, but equivalent hands-on experience is valued
Why Join Us?
- $25-$32/hour based on experience and skill
- Steady, long-term work with a backlog through 2031
- Overtime opportunities
- 1st shift schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
