Overview
We are looking for a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at our beautiful beachfront resort. As the first point of contact for our guests and owners, you will play a key role in creating a warm and welcoming environment while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the reception area. This role calls for strong communication skills, a professional presence, and the ability to multitask with ease in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting, welcoming, and assisting guests and owners with check-in, check-out, and inquiries.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
- Build rapport with guests and owners, ensuring they are aware of and respect resort rules and regulations.
- Handle guest requests and resolve issues or complaints quickly and courteously to ensure a pleasant stay.
- Manage reservations, cancellations, and room assignments accurately.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping and Maintenance to ensure units are ready for arrivals and check-outs run smoothly.
- Maintain accurate guest accounts, process payments, and prepare daily reports (occupancy, night audit, incident reports, unit activity reports, etc.).
- Keep reception area clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and general correspondence in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay up to date on room rates, resort policies, promotions, and special offers to provide accurate information to guests.
- Report any maintenance, breakage, or cleanliness issues to the appropriate manager.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, handling petty cash, and general office duties.
- Ensure all guests have access to their units by check-in time and that check-out times are respected.
- Support resort management with projects and training as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in administrative or office experience (customer service, hospitality, or front desk preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with computers. Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, email, reservation systems.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts, including some afternoons, mornings, and full-day schedules.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus.
