Job Overview:
We are looking for a self-starting IoT/Telco Application Engineer to support our cellular/wireless testing, field validation, and certification initiatives across Tactacam's product line. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in IoT/M2M applications, cellular carrier certification, and a passion for bringing innovative products to market. You'll be a critical partner in our technology roadmap and help ensure performance, reliability, and compliance across wireless devices.
Responsibilities:
- Support Cellular/Wireless testing requirements.
- Support new technology assessment.
- Support Field and Lab testing both internally and externally.
- Assist in device carrier and regulatory certification efforts of end products.
- Carrier Certifications
- Perform MNO test procedures.
- Performs on-site device testing.
- Device technology
- As new wireless technologies are introduced, they support the Tactacam Camera road map.
- Evaluate new hardware solutions.
- Work with internal teams to test Module and Chipset vendors solutions for alignment and fit with future Tactacam products
- Internal Testing
- Support SecOps, Product Development and Delivery Management as needed with device testing and development.
- Field Testing
- Supports field testing of Tactacam products.
- Supports ad-hoc device testing as needed.
- Field/Channel Support
- Assist in training and troubleshooting of any Tactacam channel partner or internal teams (Tier 3 support) as needed.
- Suggest new methods and processes for supporting device technology integration needs
Requirements:
- Working knowledge and experience with:
- Mobile or IoT device troubleshooting/ testing experience.
- RF testing environments, equipment and testing tools & processes.
- Wireless device development and manufacturing.
- LTE/Cellular carrier network technologies and transport processes.
- Familiar with:
- Experience with the major hardware components which make up a wireless device and how they interact with the cellular network.
- Experience with wireless network technologies, terminologies, and interaction with devices such as 4G and 5G radio access network functionalities.
- Self-starter
- Willing and able to travel 10% - 20% of the time
