Job Description
Job DescriptionThe START Operations and Training Specialist is the primary guide for new BrightStar Care franchise owners from the moment they take handoff from Franchise Development through pre-open, opening, and early operations. This role owns the START program experience for each new owner — coaching them through the pre-open checklist and business setup, facilitating training (Operations Boot Camp and New Owner Week 1 and Week 2), and providing hands-on subject matter expertise across systems, process, and our proprietary software platform — until the new owner is ready to open and transition to their Segment 1 Field Support Coach.
This role blends the structured onboarding expertise of the START program with the business-consulting orientation of Field Support and is designed as the entry point into BrightStar Care's Field Support career ladder. High performers should expect to be developed — and may be considered for promotion — into a Field Support Manager (Advanced Owners) role.ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new franchise owners from signing through opening day
- Coach franchisees through pre-opening business setup, recruiting, onboarding, and operational readiness
- Facilitate Operations Boot Camp and New Owner Training programs
- Train owners on operational best practices, including billing, payroll, talent management, sales, and technology platforms
- Provide expert guidance on business startup strategies and operational execution
- Partner with internal teams to improve new owner success, reduce time-to-productivity, and ensure smooth transitions into ongoing field support
- Contribute to franchisee growth and satisfaction through proactive problem-solving and business coaching
Required SkillsWhat We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3 years of experience in franchising, healthcare operations, business operations, consulting, or a related field
- Strong training, coaching, account management, and relationship-building skills
- Experience using technology platforms and a curiosity for emerging tools, including AI
- Exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for helping business owners succeed
Why Join BrightStar Care?
- Fully remote position within the United States
- Opportunity to work directly with new business owners and make an immediate impact
- Collaborative, mission-driven culture focused on franchisee success
- Up to 50% travel to support training, conferences, and franchise locations
