Softball Instructor
Department: Player Development
Classification: 1099-Independent Contractor
Summary:
D-Bat Little Rock is currently seeking applicants for a Softball Instructor in the Player Development Department. This softball instructor will be responsible for the training and mentorship of young athletes with a specific focus on hitting.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
The Softball Coach will be expected to:

Implement an organizational hitting and/or pitching development program

Plan daily hitting and/or pitching sessions for athletes scheduled

Analyze hitter and/or pitcher performance using tools, reports and technology

Prescribe and monitor a development plan for each hitter and/or pitcher based on areas of opportunity

Collaborate with affiliate Strength Coach and Performance staff to identify and act on solutions related to physical limitations/opportunities

Communicate plans, goals and progress with players and parents
Requirements / Qualifications:
-
Collegiate/Professional playing experience
-
Ability to understand and advocate for changes due to new information and or tools in baseball

Ability to work and communicate well with people
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Proficient in basic use of computers including Microsoft Office
-
Professional or collegiate playing experience is a plus
Additional Requirements / Qualifications:
-
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
-
Ability to stand for extended periods of time as well as bending, reaching, throwing, and swinging a bat.
