Mechanic Assistant – Golf Course Maintenance

Haig Point is looking for a friendly, dependable Mechanic Assistant to support our equipment team and help keep our golf course in top condition. If you enjoy working with your hands, solving problems, and being part of a team that takes pride in what they do, this could be a great fit for you.
What You’ll Do

Assist with a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for golf course equipment

Help inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues on diesel, gas, and electric-powered equipment

Perform basic repairs and assist with on-course service calls as needed

Keep records of parts, repairs, and maintenance

Help keep the shop organized, clean, and safe

Learn and support safe equipment operation and care

Work alongside team members and receive training on equipment maintenance
What Makes You a Great Fit

Interest or experience in working with tools, engines, or equipment

Willingness to learn from experienced technicians

Team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic

Valid driver’s license preferred

Ability to read and speak English to safely perform job duties
Physical & Work Environment

Active, hands-on work that includes standing, walking, bending, and lifting

Primarily moderate noise levels with occasional outdoor work
