Robert Half Lexington is looking for a skilled Legal Secretary to join a law firm team in Lexington-Fayette, Kentucky, on a Contract-to-Permanent basis. Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive administrative support to a team of attorneys and a paralegal, ensuring seamless operations within the practice group.
• Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and transcriptions with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Manage document filing and organization for easy access and retrieval.
• Coordinate and maintain attorney calendars, scheduling meetings, and managing deadlines.
• Serve as a backup for other secretaries in the group when needed.
• Handle confidential documents and correspondence with discretion and professionalism.
• Assist in managing case files and utilizing case management software effectively.
• Support the onboarding of new attorneys to the team by organizing schedules and administrative needs.
• Utilize tools such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and other legal software to streamline processes.
• Ensure timely completion of administrative tasks, including data entry and client relations.
• Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a legal setting.
• Familiarity with healthcare and government legal practices is preferred.
• Proficiency in legal software such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and case management tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for handling large volumes of paperwork.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear and effective interactions.
• Experience handling confidential documents and correspondence.
