Full Time - Senior Cloud Engineer (Database Automation / Migration)

We need a senior cloud engineer ALREADY LOCAL to the Texas area skilled with platforms, Kubernetes, OOP principals, and strong AWS cloud, including associated Jenkins/CICD work. We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with extensive experience in modern software delivery and cloud platforms

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $70 - $75 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:

Develop different Kafka integration technologies, REST APIs, Data APIs, and write event streaming related code

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) across cloud environments

• Design and manage Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

• Build and maintain Kubernetes and cloud platforms

• Develop automated processes for platform installation and upgrades, specifically with Kafka

• Provide robust on-call support and incident management

Experience Requirements:

10+ years of experience in software development or cloud engineering with a firm grasp on algorithms, data structures, and object oriented programming in regards to AWS, Linux, Unix, and Databases

Required Skills and Experience:

• Comprehensive software development lifecycle (SDLC) expertise

• Advanced troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills

• Strong background in cloud technologies and infrastructure automation

• Experience with distributed systems and agile team environments

• Proven ability to resolve complex production issues

• Excellent communication and collaboration capabilities

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
