George Consulting is looking for a Communications Technician to support engineering, cyber hardening, integration, installation, updating, testing, and documentation as required for the Taiwan Navy (TN) Maritime Mission Support Center (MMSC). This includes network interfaces from the Taiwan Wide Area Network (TWAN) and Secret Wide Area Network (SWAN) to support the Taiwan Air Force (TAF) P-3 aircraft
Roles and Responsibilities
· Specific tasks include the following support to Taiwan Navy (TN) Maritime Mission Support Center (MMSC).
· Engineering, cyber hardening, integration, installation, updating, testing, and documentation.
· Capture required changes for the TWAN and SWAN interfaces and provide corresponding impact to the MMSC and remote communications equipment, install, test, and document hardware and software updates.
· Meet cyber security requirements.
· Provide testing and troubleshooting support for the Radio Frequency (RF) interface
· Provide engineering, testing and troubleshooting support for the implementation of the current encryption solution for voice and data communication.
· Update installation drawings.
· Experience supporting the following subsystems is required: C2: Interoperable Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) Services (ICS), inclusive of Command-and-Control Environmental Decision Support (C2EDS) weather application, Tactical Data Link 11/16/22, email, chat, software distribution function applications, Aircraft Interface: PID, MARS, TAF P-3 aircraft media, Tactical Acoustic Support System (TASS)
· Communications: Tactical Data Link 11/16/22, Taiwan Advanced Tactical Data Link System (TATDLS) modernization for Domain Uniform (DU), Joint Range Extender (JRE)/Data Link Translator (DLT), Cornet Switch Operations, High Frequency (HF), Very High Frequency/Ultra High Frequency (VHF/UHF), Imaging Communications Environment (ICE), Teletype (TTY) and remote communications sites equipment.
· Knowledge of HF and UHF operation, maintenance and installation.
· Knowledge of communication patch panels and external controls.
· Working knowledge of data link, RF voice, RF data operations.
· Able to collaborate with other contractor teammates and customers on a daily basis
· Able to work closely with customers to ensure deliverables meet their expectations and arrive in a timely manner
· Attend and actively participate in team meetings
· Travel as required, estimated to be no more than 25% of the time
THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ACTIVE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE.
Required Skills & Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, math, science
· Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; and four (4) years of relevant experience
· Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications and HS Diploma and four (4) years of relevant experience

· System and Network Administration functions for the TN MMSC subsystems within NIWC Atlantic lab spaces.
