Job Type: 6 Months Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday-Thursday | 1st Shift | 6AM - 4PM
Pay Rate: $19 / Hour
Position Overview
Our client is a medical device company that makes products used to help doctors treat bone, spine, and orthopedic conditions. Their products include devices that help bones heal, support spinal procedures, and assist with fracture and bone reconstruction.
They are looking for a Machine Operator / Assmebler to help build and test bone-healing devices. This is a hands-on manufacturing position that involves assembling small components, testing finished products, inspecting parts for quality, and completing production paperwork. The role requires good attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed instructions while working in a regulated medical device environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble therapy devices using small electronic and mechanical components.
- Follow detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
- Use hand tools, fixtures, and assembly equipment to complete production activities.
- Perform functional testing of completed devices to verify proper operation.
- Inspect components and finished products for defects, damage, or other quality issues.
- Accurately record test results, production information, and inspection findings.
- Complete required batch records, Device History Records (DHRs), and other manufacturing documentation.
- Follow established FDA, GMP, and ISO 13485 quality and manufacturing requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and controlled production environment.
Qualifications
- Ability to pass drug and background screen.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, or medical device manufacturing preferred.
- Experience working with small components or performing precision assembly is a plus.
- Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions, SOPs, and drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive work accurately.
- Comfortable using basic hand tools and manufacturing equipment.
