This full-time role draws on your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) and offers a dynamic, supportive environment spread across two school sites near Saint Amant, LA. You will play a vital part in fostering communication skills for a diverse caseload of approximately 50 students.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active SLP-CCC credential is required
- Previous experience supporting students in a school setting
- Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload of middle schoolers
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Capacity to travel between two school locations as needed
- Readiness to start as soon as possible and commitment through the end of the school year
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to a caseload of middle school students
- Conduct assessments, craft individualized therapy plans, and regularly document student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student goals and IEPs
- Attend IEP meetings, contribute insights, and ensure compliance with all school and state requirements
- Use evidence-based interventions to target students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Adjust service delivery and strategies in response to evolving student needs
