The Parts Manager requires working knowledge of aircraft parts purchasing and inventory control utilizing an MRO system such as EBIS. Must have the proven ability to anticipate and adapt to changing priorities, working with vendors to negotiate favorable pricing. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to procurement, organization/distribution of parts/materials, receiving inspection, processing of cores, management of purchase orders.
Essential Duties
Ensure overall reliability and performance of the parts department.
Ensure conformity with FAA regulatory requirements (calibration, certification, shelf life, parts quarantine)
Responsible for inventory management and control, including core and warranty procedures.
Maintain conformity with work rules, regulations, and safety procedures.
Source parts requested by technicians and customers (internal & external).
Search OEM's and independent part sources for certified and traceable products.
Establish/maintain relationships with vendors to ensure that best pricing and highest quality service is obtained
Monitor outside services to ensure on-time delivery
Perform receiving inspection of parts and materials to ensure conformity with FAA regulations and customer requirements, ensuring that no unapproved parts go undetected.
Creation, tracking, and receipt of purchase orders placed with vendors.
Coordinate shipping on outside work requests.
Work within the repair station manual guidelines to maintain certified and traceable parts.
Coordinate part status with requesting technician/customer.
Process and maintain all records pertaining to each requisition.
Research and maintain stock requirements.
Perform periodic review of all calibrated precision test equipment used by the repair station and mechanics that have their own precision equipment.
Perform receiving inspection of all calibrated precision test equipment upon completion of calibration and notify the Chief Inspector of any discrepancies.
Process core returns to vendors
Perform regular inventory, cycle counts and maintain min/max requirements
Ensure accurate assignment and proper billing of parts to work orders
Any other job-related duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance/Chief Inspector.
Qualifications (experience & Education)
College degree preferred.
Knowledge of corporate aircraft parts preferred. Gulfstream, Hawker, Bombardier
Strong organizational and communication skills
Strong computer skills
Minimum five years parts experience working in a Part 135 maintenance environment.
