Robert Half is seeking an IT Support Specialist to support a client in the hospitality industry. This role is hands-on and focused on reimaging existing PCs, customizing setups, and ensuring a smooth, positive experience for both technical and non-technical users. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and able to get users fully up and running efficiently.
Duration: Short-term contract; with potential to extend
Pay rate: up to $30/hourly
Location: 100% Onsite in Eugene, Oregon
Key Responsibilities:
- Reimage and deploy existing PCs as part of a structured hardware refresh initiative
- Customize system configurations based on individual end-user needs
- Ensure users can successfully sign in and have access to all required tools and applications
- Provide white-glove support during setup
- Support ~300 end users across the organization
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to printers, workstations, and general desktop support
- Manage and track requests through a ticketing system
- Deliver a seamless onboarding experience for users during device setup and transitions
- 3+ years of experience in IT Support / Desktop Support
- Strong experience with Windows OS environments
- Experience reimaging and deploying PCs
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and user access issues
- Comfortable working in a ticketing system and managing multiple requests
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Exposure to JumpCloud (supporting an existing environment/project)
- Familiarity with Zoom (VoIP)
- Experience with Genesis (or similar platforms)
Soft Skills:
- Warm, approachable, and customer-focused demeanor
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical users
- Patient and helpful, with a focus on creating a positive user experience
- Ability to stay organized and manage time effectively in a structured rollout
