Position Overview:

The Database Architect Manager will lead the design, development, and integration of secure database solutions supporting mission-critical applications. This position requires deep expertise in managing sensitive data using industry-leading security methods and tools, as well as demonstrated experience directing technical teams through database development and integration processes. The Database Architect Manager will ensure data integrity, scalability, and performance across systems while upholding strict confidentiality and compliance standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, and oversee the implementation of secure database systems for sensitive data.
  • Lead and manage teams of developers and engineers through the full lifecycle of database development and integration.
  • Ensure all data storage and manipulation processes comply with federal security and privacy regulations.
  • Develop and enforce database architecture standards, best practices, and documentation.
  • Oversee data modeling, schema design, and performance optimization for large datasets.
  • Evaluate and implement database tools, technologies, and security enhancements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align database design with program objectives and user needs.
  • Maintain and monitor database systems for integrity, reliability, and security risks.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience manipulating and storing sensitive data using the most secure methods available.
  • Proven experience managing technical teams in database development and integration efforts.
  • Experience in federal or high-security environments preferred.


Required Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of database platforms (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
  • Proficiency in secure data handling, encryption, and access control.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as FISMA, FedRAMP, or NIST.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills.


Clearance Requirement:

Must meet all clearance requirements as determined by the Department of Homeland Security and CBP for contractor personnel.
