Responsibilities
- Responsible for open-to-buy planning and execution of assigned product categories, ensuring alignment with overall sales targets and store budgets.
- Partner with vendors on assortment selection, buying plans, marketing, and merchandising while keeping customer needs top of mind.
- Review sales reports regularly to understand performance across vendors and product classes.
- Explore and implement merchandising strategies to support product sell-through goals, including storytelling opportunities using product displays, vendor signage, mannequins, and other techniques.
- Execute proper promotion and markdown strategies in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Actively participate with managers and employees by setting daily merchandising tasks, sharing updates, and providing visual merchandise training and education.
- Ensure store-level responsibilities are executed, including pricing, backstock management, and ensuring inventory flows to the sales floor.
- Collaborate on the product promotion calendar and execute in-store product expressions to highlight key buys.
- Weekly meetings with the Director of Retail and bi-weekly marketing meetings.
Qualifications
- A strong communicator with excellent writing and editing skills.
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects at once.
- Passionate about community, fitness, and storytelling.
